HTL-STREFA products are used in various diagnostic tests performed by hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. They also form an integral component of the needle-stick prevention programs in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, doctor’s surgeries, and wherever both patients and professionals need to feel safe. By using safety lancets needle-stick injuries and infections can be minimized.
A few months ago, we donated our safety lancets to the GLOBAL-MED organization in Poland, which has created an initiative called “Ambulans z serca” (Ambulance from the heart), to perform free glucose screenings during healthcare events.

Glucose screenings are most often performed to diagnose diabetes. According to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the rate of new diabetes diagnoses has increased by over 100% in the last three decades.

The donated safety lancets enabled healthcare professionals to perform blood collection procedures in a safe and comfortable manner.
